Morbid - Requiem
Requiem adalah
judul single terbaru dari unit Crossover Thrashmetal Bandung (MORBID) yang
direlease pada tanggal 20 Januari 2015. Band yang terbentuk sejak Februari 2012
ini sebelumnya sudah merilis EP pada tahun 2013 dan telah melakukan promo tur
di daerah Jawa Barat, Jawa Timur, dan Jawa Tengah pada tahun yang sama.
Pada tahun
2015 ini MORBID akan merilis debut full album yang bertitel “Rise Of The
Thrash” dan single Requiem sebagai pemanasan sebelum merilis album tersebut.
Lagu Requiem
menceritakan tentang keserakahan manusia yang menghalalkan segala cara untuk
mencapai tujuan, terlalu memikirkan diri sendiri dan terlalu menyombongkan
kehidupan di dunia, namun sebenarnya apa yang mereka kerjakan tidak akan
menyelamatkan mereka dari kematian dan semua yang mereka capai dengan cara
kotor itu tidak akan menolong mereka di akhirat.
Pada lirik
lagu MORBID memang banyak mengandung kritik terhadap berbagai kondisi sosial
dalam masyarakat dan pemerintahan.
Single ini
diharapkan dapat diterima di skena metal dan musik indonesia pada umumnya.
